Straight from the desk of Dr. Eric-
The other day I was speaking with a patient in our office about our chiropractic care. I was asking her how she felt her progress was coming along since starting with us a couple of weeks ago. Over the past year, she had been going to another Chiropractor in town, so her feedback was important to me. After a year of weekly adjustments with another clinic, she did not feel like she was making any progress. Fortunately, she didn’t give up, instead, she decided to try our office based on reading our reviews. And I’m happy to say that she has reported a considerable improvement in her pain levels. Her daily activities are also performed pain-free and less fatigue.
“This is by no means an isolated example, but rather seems to be a common theme.”
It’s not that the other chiropractic clinic she went to was bad. Her pain was being treated symptomatically. This is a common practice in many clinics and it works fine for patients that have minor aches and pains. But this approach doesn’t work for many patients who are suffering from chronic pain, been in serious accidents, or are looking for lasting results.
How to Get Lasting Results From Chiropractic Care
What we do is a matter of taking time to evaluate and uncover the basic problems that cause pain. It’s not a mystery or something magical. It’s straightforward, quality care. First, we get thorough information. Then, it’s a matter of tailoring an individual treatment plan that fits the needs of the patient.
At NW Injury & Rehab Center we take great pride in really uncovering what is causing pain. We explain the problem to the patient and provide options before developing a customized treatment plan. We see that this gets results as fast as possible. We understand that nobody has time these days to be sidelined with pain. People want to get better “yesterday”. Through our over twenty years of experience, we have been able to get people feeling better faster with our multifaceted treatment approach.
Our Multi-faceted Approach to Pain Relief
Chiropractic adjustments are often the main ingredient, but our patients usually respond much faster when we also incorporate some soft tissue work such as; massage or ART. In addition, patients may also need neck or low back decompression therapy, as well as rehab exercises and home care instructions. Not all patients need all services at once, but oftentimes some combination thereof delivers faster positive results. Our goal at NW Injury & Rehab Center is to get people less dependent on us and more self-sufficient, and only use us “as-needed” or for infrequent “maintenance”, barring no significant new injury or complaint.
Generic Treatment Doesn’t Work
At many clinics, patients get run through a generic treatment plan. A “one size fits all” model that produces poor results. It takes more time, more expense, and provides little progress and much frustration for the patient. Sometimes it can make things worse, and may even make them give up on chiropractic care altogether. A consistent plan of treatment is the best approach to get ahead of chronic pain.
The reason why single sporadic treatment doesn’t work for patients is that they are getting symptomatic treatment. This means that they will repeat their visits for a longer period of time, which eventually costs more money without providing the long-term relief desired.
Sporadic treatments work after the patient has been able to get control of the chronic pain first. Then they can benefit from chiropractic adjustments on a “as-needed” basis to keep the pain from coming back.
No Hidden Costs With Our Care
There are no hidden costs or charges in our pricing. We are upfront with our patients about getting them relief and what it will take to get there. This is completely and thoroughly discussed with our patients before starting any treatment plan.
